Bought from auction some months ago, because it had been very well built from scratch. Models like this always take my interest because being a kit basher myself, I really do appreciate the time and work that must go into building even a humble tank loco like this from scratch. It has been stripped of it’s original BR bright green paint and repainted by myself in GWR pre 1928 dark chrome green. Some original details eg the whistles and safety valve cover, I had replaced before hand. Cast iron wheels, a hefty motor and gear unit and plunger pickups, she runs superbly, quiet and powerfully. My rake of six Lionheart suburban coaches is not a problem.
