GWR Collett Hall class 4-6-0 no. 4991 Cobham Hall. A recent auction purchase. This model is a Sancheng of China product, which, in basic condition and in my opinion are very well detailed and perform well on the track, if lacking somewhat in adhesion. My model here has considerable improvements that I think are needed from basic. Tyres blacked from bright. Light weathering by Warren Haywood. Additional lead weight added to the inside of the boiler and above the front two driving axles to give further adhesion. Real coal has been added to the tender. So here we now have available at a reasonable price a lovely model that ticks all the boxes. The line of the cab to tender would be better if I ensured that all wheels were on the track before taking photos.
