LSWR Adams T3 class 4-4-0 no. 567. Built from the superb Martin Finney kit by Chris Wesson and the superb finish of the painting is by Chris also. Alan Harris wheels, an RG7 Portescap motor and gear unit. Fully working inside valve motion. A truly superb model in every respect of this lovely prototype.

BR (ER) Peppercorn A1 class Pacific no. 60156 Great Central. This lovely model, factory built and painted by DJH, has been displayed in a cabinet since new and as such is still in virtually mint condition. Never used until I tested it on my rolling road to ensure that it is still in the same fully working condition from when it was built.

BR (ER) Peppercorn A2 class Pacific no. 60537 Bachelors Button. This fabulous model was built and painted from the DJH Limited Edition Kit No. 30 by John Cockcroft, and still has the signed Certificate of Construction, dated 26th November 1999, as provenance. John is a good friend of mine and he has painted many of the models, to my commission, that are displayed on these pages. I have been to his home many times and when his work is seen in various stages of completion, his superb quality of build becomes apparent.

BR(M) Stanier Jubilee class 4-6-0 no. 45555 Quebec. A precision factory built model by DJH. A risky purchase from an on-line auction. With a Slaters GB30R-3M spur drive gearbox and motor unit, Slaters wheels and plunger pickups. A visit to Warren Haywoods workshop for a light weathering has turned this outstanding Jubilee into a real stunner.

BR (exLMS) Fowler Patriot 6P class 4-6-0 no. 45504 Royal Signals. The third Patriot that has been added to these pages recently and another recent auction purchase. This model like the other two has been very well built from the superb David Andrews kit. It is powered by the Portescap RG7 multi-stage gear and motor unit, collecting power from the Slaters wheels and plunger pick-ups. Bought unpainted. Very little work, in the way of repairs or restoration has been needed, other than a visit to Warren Haywood’s for one of his magnificent paint and light weathering jobs. Jon Boot takes the credit for the build quality.

Scratch built by Brian Broumpton, Alan Harris wheels, painted by Alan Brackenborough, from the Michael Price collection. This site shows that I have had, and sold, four others of these lovely 517 class tanks. All of them well built from the superb Malcolm Mitchell kit that has been on the market for probably the last 30 years. All now restored into working and superb looking model locomotives. But this no. 572, being a Broompton/Brackenborouh masterpiece, will hopefully not be following the others for some years yet.
