GWR Dean Single no. 3040 Empress of India. This good model was bought from a Vectis auction at Rugby. I suspect it has been built from the DJB kit. Expertly painted and a strong loco for a single wheeler. Terry Smith (TMS Models) https://tmsmodels.biz/ sold this model for me so that I could fund another project with the proceeds. It was again for sale again at the Bristol show in 2017. It was such a good loco I was tempted to buy it back.
LB&SCR E1 class 0-6-0T no. 115 Lorraine. This was bought from the ALMRS John Porter collection auction at Barnt Green in 2009. Superbly built from scratch built by Brian Broompton and painted by Alan Brackenborough.
LNER A3 class no. 2506 Salmon Trout. Built by myself from the DJH kit and expertly painted by my old friend the late Graham Jaques. My first DJH kit build. Probably 20 years later and my current project is another A3 from DJH.
LMS Fowler Compound 4P class 4-4-0 no. 1056. Built from scratch and with fully working inside motion and painted by persons unknown. Bought from the Guild Executors and Trustees Service in 2016 and soon after money was needed for another project, so it was regretfully sold. Now 9 years later and the chance is there to buy it back. Taken with both hands.
LNWR 2-4-2T no. 2498. Built and painted by myself from the Eric Underhill kit, using transfers for the lining. One of my very early loco builds. Photo courtesy of Steamline Ltd. I am not sure what has happened to the brakes, but they were certainly not like that when I sold it!
BR(SR) Schools class no. 30933 Kings Canterbury. This model was bought from a Solent Railwayana Auction. It had been scratch built and reasonably painted as Merchant Taylors, by persons unknown. Original paint has now been stripped and the loco has been completely refurbished by myself before repainting and weathering by Warren Haywood.
GWR 47xx class no. 4702. Built and painted by myself on commission from the Finney kit. These fine locomotives carry the nickname Night Owl because of their use on fast overnight freight services on the Great Western main line routes.
BR (ex NBR) D30 class no. 62420 Dominie Sampson. Bought half built (from scratch) from MSC Models at a Telford show many years ago. Since completed and painted by myself.
