Description
BR (ex GWR) Collett Castle class 4-6-0 no. 5006 Tregenna Castle in SCALE7. Built from the Malcolm Mitchell kit with a very impressive specification. Alan Harris driving wheels, telescopic axles with compensation and hornblocks in guides for the front two axles, the driven rear axle is fixed. An ABC gears and motor unit, wiper pickups and working valve motion to the inside cylinders. Bought from a friend who in turn had found a small collection on his travels and jumped into buying them without realising that they had all been built to scale7 standards. My original intention was to convert Tregenna Castle to my preferred fine scale, strip the paint and restore it to my usual quality, but on reflection that would be a shame to leave the Alan Harris wheels unused. So after repairs to the wipers and a few other minor areas, here it is for sale in Scale7. The paintwork is a little scruffy in places, but there is no damage to the build of the model, or to the paint except for the scruffy-ness.
