BR (exLMS) Stanier Princess Coronation class Pacific no. 46243 City of Lancaster. Expertly and robustly built in an older style from scratch many years ago, by an unknown but very skillful modeller. This lovely loco is still in as new condition, the beautiful green paintwork still gleams as if it was painted yesterday. Powered by a Crailcrest or similar motor and gear unit with current collection by plunger pickups from one side and the cast iron wheels from the other.
A powerful model. At the Poachers running session last Sunday I had her hauling eight coaches, if I had another eight I’m sure that she could have handled them as well, just like the real Duchesses that she truly represents.
